Make your money drop and give you $20!

Welcome to this new and informative website on personal financial matters.  I created this website to inform and instruct as well as teach myself about a subject that many of us worry about- our money.  I have lived, and still continue to live, paycheck to paycheck.  As I have gotten older I have learned a lot more about controlling myself, my spending, and my habits.  My goal is to share with you what I have learned and will continue to learn.  I want to educate and inform, but I also want to continue to collect information and ideas on how we can make money work for us instead of working harder and harder for money.

Often each of us wishes that we had or made more money.  While having a good income is important I have learned that it is not the money that you make that is half as important as the money that you keep.  Regardless of whether you save your money, invest your money, or start a new business with your money.  The amount of money that you keep can often be more important than the amount of money that you make.  I, as a former naval enlisted man and officer, went through boot camp.  There I learned the basic training that made me a sailor and set me apart from the rest of the world.  I want this to be a basic training for you so that you can take charge of your money instead of letting your money run your life.

Military life is set by order, discipline, and organization.  In the same way if our finances are in order: we have a budget and we follow a financial plan, we can organize our money that has been lost to us if we have been acting without these things in place.

We begin our basic training by creating a budget.  I performed basic training on getting out of debt, asset protection, learning financial terms from the financial glossary, and a word on making money from the internet.  Other Money Bootcamp subjects will follow.  The purpose is two-fold for me.  One, as a former teacher in the navy I have learned that you really can't say that you know a subject until you can explain it to someone in a way that allows that person to understand it.  Two, to help educate and inform people about these important subjects.  Feel free to visit my blog page and comment about the topics there or any aspect of this site that you may agree with or disagree with.  I also have a forum to discuss your topics and ask questions.  These are free to join and there is no obligation.
